Welcome to TimWellsjazz.com. Tim holds a Masters degree in Improvised Music and Jazz from the University of York where he studied with the great pianist John Taylor and Saxophonist Julian Arguelles.
Tim has played across the country including at the Brecon Jazz festival in Wales and the Hogmanay Festival in Edinburgh. He is currently the resident pianist at the Grand Hotel in Brighton, and has worked in groups of all sizes from solo piano to full Jazz Orchestras and function bands.
Tim is influenced by many different musicians but his favourites include:
Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Brad Mehldau, Chris Dawson, Loius Armstrong, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Woody Shaw.
He is Based in Brighton, East Sussex.
